Arts R Alive in Webster City will host the 11th Annual Sculpture in the Park event Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021 beginning at 5 p.m. Several artists will have their sculptures unveiled in the park during this event. They will remain on display for up to a year. Come enjoy an evening of art, music and refreshments!

2021 will mark the 35th year since the Annual
Doodlebug Reunion in Webster City. The event has drawn Doodlebug enthusiasts from all over the country, and local enthusiasts have created bonds with Doodlebug owners from around the globe. Make plans to join in the celebration.

Things to know about your local parks: More campsites are being added to Briggs Woods and people are doing more of everything recreationally in the county parks and wildlife areas. Among the activities visitors to the park are enjoying are camping, golfing, fishing, hiking, picnicking, swimming and using the bike trails. Canoeing, kayaking, birdwatching wildlife viewing, berry picking, mushroom hunting, butterfly watching, Dutch oven cooking, geocaching, cabin rentals, hunting in wildlife areas, making walking sticks, nut gathering, star gazing, and attending naturalist programs are all activities available to the public and have been growing as people seek safe, fun, outdoor experiences.
